Hillary Opening new Office in San Diego
Good news! Hillary’s campaign is opening a new office in California — in San Diego!
Hillary’s San Diego office opens tonight at 2044 First Avenue, 2nd Floor, San Diego, CA 92101.
There is already an awesome outpouring of support for Hillary at canvassing and phonebanking sessions here in San Diego and our delegates to the Democratic National Convention were voted in at the caucuses a few weeks ago. This is the time for all hands on deck. Now is critical to put the California primary in the win column for Hillary and get all those early California mail-in ballots posted this week. Over 50% of Californians vote by mail and have their ballots now so there’s no waiting for the June 7th primary.
People who have time at home or can join in a neighborhood phonebank or canvass can check on HillaryClinton.com and enter your zip code to find what’s scheduled in your communities. I met an 80 year old phonebanker who said her 100 year old mother made her volunteer for Hillary!
Help Needed in Encinitas, California
The good news is turnout for GOTV is strong and building still, people are coming from all over San Diego’s large county to call or walk for Hillary and there are a number of different weekly events planned through June 7.
Encinitas and Solana Beach are just far enough from San Diego city proper to their South and the North County phonebanks to generate a call out from our busy volunteers for a more local site for to meet and for phonebanking in Encinitas. If anyone has an idea for a local site (e.g., a home, library, Starbucks) please speak up.
Go to HilllaryClinton.com\Volumteer and sign up, note your willingness to potentially host and let’s GOTV together! Just sign up and someone will follow up with you.
It’s truly a wonderful opportunity to meet lots of interesting (and loving!) Democratic neighbors from 18 to 80, so far, who couldn’t be more motivated to win this historic election!!! Democrats MUST win with Hillary in 2016.
Kamala Harris for California Senate
Don’t forget to vote for California AG, Kamala Harris for the Senate. Kamala is Barbara Boxer’s hand picked successor and Kamala Harris is the only California Senate candidate to endorse Secretary Clinton.
Under California's nonpartisan blanket primary law, all candidates appear on the same ballot, regardless of party. In the primary, which will be held on June 7, 2016, voters may vote for any candidate, regardless of their party affiliation. The top two finishers — regardless of party — advance to the general election in November, even if a candidate manages to receive a majority of the votes cast in the primary election.
Consequently Her name on the ballot is in the middle of a long list of 34 Senate candidates so make sure to find her name and vote for Kamala Harris for Senate.
And get your 2016 California Mail-In Ballots in the mail by May 31 to be counted in the Election night totals you see on TV, and post-martked no later than June 7 to be counted. Also, all California ballots mailed in must be in their official envelope which MUST be signed and dated to be counted.
